The U.S. Agency for International Development remains committed to advancing global literacy and to working in partnership with the international community to achieve the goals set forth under the Education for All initiative. We will continue to help developing nations provide their citizens with the education they need to improve their lives, contribute to their communities, enhance their productivity, and participate fully in opportunities afforded by increasing globalization. Literacy is the key to life-long learning and economic prosperity.
